Following on from child exploitation day we are focusing on spreading awareness of the life-long effects of child abuse. Child neglect is one of the most common forms of child mistreatment.

On 18 March 2021 it is the National Child Exploitation Awareness Day, a day dedicated to helping to raising awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) and wider exploitation. We are encouraged to think, spot and speak out against abuse, so would you give child a voice? #StopCSE. #HelpingHands

This week we’re supporting ‘UK Says No More week - a national campaign aimed at ending domestic abuse and sexual violence across the UK.

​Care Day 21 is taking place on Friday 19th February. First beginning in 2015, the day is the world’s largest celebration of the rights of children and young people with care experience, whether they were cared for by family members with the support of social workers, by foster carers or in children’s homes and residential units.

For many victims of domestic abuse, work is a place of respite. However the covid-19 lockdowns have meant victims have had to work from home, or those on furlough have had to stay at home with the abuser.

The government have announced a new, “first-of-its-kind” strategy to protect children from Child Sexual Abuse. This comes ahead of the fourth annual sexual abuse and sexual violence week between 1st and 7th February.

As Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week continues, running from 1st February to 7th February 2021, it is highly important to continue to spread the message #ITSNOTOK.
