Throughout Dementia Action Week our Private Client team have been looking at the different aspects of life with dementia. In our latest blog Veronica Mullins, Partner is focussing on having a voice after you have lost the ability to make your own decisions, if ever this were to happen.

One of the many problems facing people with dementia is that most of us don't understand what living with dementia is like. Unless you have been there, experiencing it, caring for someone living with it, it is difficult to know what it is like, but that doesn't mean you can't learn more.

Dementia Action Week takes place from 20th – 26th May 2019 and exists to unite people, workplaces, schools and communities and inspire them to take action and improve the lives of people living with dementia.

Since 2009 Dying Matters have been dealing with the difficult topics of dying, death and bereavement. They provide information and advice to many people who need it. This week is Dying Matters Awareness Week and the question they are encouraging people to ask is Are We Ready?

As we head towards the end of March, one thing in particular is dominating news and politics. There is a great deal of uncertainty as to what will happen in the days after the 29th March 2019. There is, however, one thing that is guaranteed, which is the fact that three days after 29th March, it will be April.
