Sexual Abuse & Sexual Violence Awareness Week is currently underway across the UK, with the general public, statutory bodies and third sector organisations collectively saying ‘It’s Not Ok’.

During the period of 1970 and 2015, 931 allegations of child sexual abuse in the church were made by 1,753 individuals. This involved more than 3000 instances of alleged abuse made against 931 perpetrators, the ongoing Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) has found.
