At Ramsdens, we are supporting Road Safety Week which takes place this week across 15th-21st September. We are encouraging you to “be a road safety hero.”

More than 1.3 million people die on the road each year and many road deaths involve a vehicle being driven for work. The pollution from traffic also causes diseases such as respiratory illnesses. It is for these reasons you are encouraged to think of alternative ways to travel to work such as by walking or cycling. Where you must drive to work, BRAKE encourages us to be mindful when making our journeys to show you put other people’s safety first.

We’re celebrating the road safety heroes in our lives such as:

  • Emergency service workers who help people get home safely after a crash
  • Services who provide emotional and practical support to crash victims
  • Highway workers who keep our roads in good and safe condition
  • Crossing patrols who help children to and from schools
  • Traffic officers who help to enforce road safety rules
  • Everyone who use roads properly to help achieve road safety for their communities

To show us how you have taken part in Road Safety Week tweet us @RamsdensPI and @brakecharity using #RoadSafetyWeek.

If you do find yourself as a victim of a road crash, our experienced Personal Injury team are here to help. With offices across Yorkshire, we can provide our services across the entire county. To find out if you can make a compensation claim, call us for free on 01484 821 500, or submit your claim online and a member of the team will get back to you as soon as possible.
