In 2017, the UK Government made it mandatory for all companies with 250+ employees to report their gender pay gap. We are now in our sixth year of reporting our gender pay gap and our results are continually improving.

The gender pay gap is the difference in average hourly rate between our female and male employees across the whole of the Ramsdens Solicitors organisation.

Overview

Within Ramsdens Solicitors, We want to ensure that everyone is rewarded fairly for their work and enjoy the same access to all opportunities.

Our median pay gap for 2023 is 15%. Women earn 85p for every £1 that men earn when comparing median hourly pay.

Gender Pay Gap and Equal Pay

Contrary to popular belief, gender pay gap and equal pay are two difference topics.

Equal pay, is the legal obligation under the Equality Act 2010 that requires men and women to receive the same pay if they are employed in the same position. The reason for this Act was to ensure that all forms of pay are determined without bias or sex discrimination.

Gender pay gap, on the other hand, measures the difference in average earnings between men and women across a whole company/organisation.
