Rebecca is a Partner and Solicitor within the Family team.
Rebecca covers all aspects of Family Law which include, Divorce and Finances, Children Act proceedings and applications under the Family Law Act 1996. Rebecca has a particular expertise in Domestic Abuse, Forced Marriages and Children work which, in the past has included obtaining many successful Orders to protect those at risk of harm and those at risk of being forced into a marriage they did not want. She helped to ascertain the first Forced Marriage Protection Order to derive from the Kirklees Area.
Rebecca represents parents on a daily basis in Court on applications under the Children Act 1989 which includes applications for Child Arrangement Orders. Rebecca’s sensitive yet realistic approach is often favoured by clients.
Rebecca works closely with agencies away from the office who are also trying to protect the vulnerable from harm.
Rebecca was shortlisted in the Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards 2013 in the Young Business Woman of the Year category, and was recommended in The Legal 500, 2023.
