Lauren is a second year Trainee Solicitor, currently sat within our Residential Conveyancing Department. Here she deals with transactions such as sale and purchases, transfers of equity, equity release arrangements and much more. Her previous seats have been with our Real Estate Team and our Private Wealth and Succession Team.

Lauren joined the firm in 2020, after graduating from the University of Huddersfield with a first class honours degree in Law and a distinction in the Masters of Law and Practice. She joined us as an Office Assistant and then moved on to become a Conveyancing Assistant before starting her training with the firm in 2022.  

Lauren is now undertaking her training contract with the firm with a view to qualifying in September 2024.

Outside of work, Lauren is on the committee for the Kirklees and Calderdale Junior Lawyers Division, as Student Representative. She is also a voluntary ‘Community Friend’ for a local charity.

 

What made you want to work in your sector?

"I have always enjoyed helping people and the satisfaction this brings and I have always insisted that I wanted to work in a profession that did just that. I am a massive people person and getting to know clients whilst building up a trusted relationship is one of the things I enjoy the most. When combining these two factors, it became apparent that Law was the way to go. I therefore studied Law at college and university, with an aim of joining a law firm to train to become a solicitor."
