“My career highlights consist of qualifying as a Licensed Conveyancer and also obtaining a level 5 Leadership and Management Apprenticeship, whilst navigating family life and a full time job.”
What is one legal myth that you’d like to dispel?
“That the Conveyancing process will be quicker if there is no chain or a party in the chain does not need a mortgage. The legal process is the same regardless of whether there is no chain or whether the buyer or seller has a mortgage. These matters generally are only factored in and make a difference at the end of the process, when parties are in a position to discuss completion dates.”
What made you want to work in your role/law?
“I started my career as an office junior in a multi-field law firm and fell for Conveyancing almost immediately. I liked the relative structure of Conveyancing and found it very satisfying helping people navigate a process that is a huge part of their life. I enjoy speaking to clients and helping to take little bit of the stress away from them. Making that final call at the end of the process to confirm completion is always rewarding.”
