Josh is a Solicitor in our Private Wealth and Succession department. He is based at the firm’s Halifax office.
Joining Ramsdens in April 2022, Josh started out in our Private Client team at the firm’s Mirfield office. He then moved to join our team at the Halifax office, to experience more complex intestacy matters, which then led Josh to embark on training with CILEX.
Josh qualified as a Solicitor in July 2026.

Career Highlights:
Before starting his legal career, Josh graduated from Bangor University, he lived and worked in Madrid. Josh shared with us that learning the language and the culture comes in very helpful when dealing with international matters. Josh is proud to be able to be able to use his Spanish knowledge to live-translate meetings with clients and liaise with organisations over in Spain.
We asked Josh ‘What is one legal myth that you’d love to dispel?’:
“The next of kin we choose are not your next of kin by law- when someone passes away, your next of kin are the closest living blood relatives under the Rules of Intestacy.”
Followed by, ‘What made you want to work in your role?’:
“For me, a career in law felt like a natural choice because I’ve always enjoyed learning and being able to support people in vulnerable moments.”
