Jill is a Solicitor and Partner in our Child Law and Court of Protection departments.
Jill is an experienced advocate specialising in Child Care Law and a range of cases in the Court of Protection.
She is a longstanding member of the Law Society’s panel of accredited Children Law specialists and regularly represents children, children’s guardians, foster parents, parents and other family members in a range of family cases, including Care Proceedings, Special Guardianship Applications, Adoptions and complex contact/residence disputes.
As a member of the Law Society’s Mental Capacity Accreditation Scheme Jill also has a particular interest in representing clients in Health and Welfare cases in the Court of Protection, including best interests decisions and challenges to Deprivation of Liberty. She is recognised as having particular expertise in representing vulnerable adults and is an Accredited Legal Representative (ALR). She is also a member of the Court of Protection Practitioners Association (‘CoPPA’) for Yorkshire & The Humber.
