James Knowles

James is a Partner in our Private Wealth & Succession team, acting for private individuals, business owners and trustees locally and nationally. He specialises in Capital Tax planning advice (predominantly Inheritance Tax), succession planning, Will drafting, Estate Administration (including estates with overseas property), Powers of Attorney and Trust formation, management and restructuring.

James has worked in both regional and national law firms across the north and in London. He works closely with our Corporate and Commercial property teams, financial advisors and accountants to ensure that everyone receives holistic advice and in the most cost effective way possible.

James is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and has been recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners (Band 2: Private Wealth Law) as a specialist in his chosen field.
