Dean Hill

Dean is a Solicitor and Partner in our Dispute Resolution department.

Having spent the last 20 years helping clients to resolve their disputes, Dean recently joins Ramsdens, having previously worked at a top 50 national law firm where he was a key member of the ‘Best Litigation Team of the Year’ at The Lawyer Awards 2020, a team that was also shortlisted for ‘Litigation & Dispute Resolution Team of the Year’ at the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2021.

During his career, Dean has forged a reputation for providing pragmatic solutions to legal problems and disputes in a cost-effective and commercial manner. A firm believer in the adage ‘prevention is better than the cure’, Dean does not like to be referred to as just a Litigator and spends a significant amount of his time using his real-world experience to provide risk mitigation advice to businesses. Where a dispute does arise and litigation becomes unavoidable, Dean is equally at home in Court, and he is frequently instructed on an urgent basis, applying for an injunctive relief – his personal best involved being instructed at 10.25am and successfully obtaining injunctive relief for a business facing a winding-up petition at a Court hearing at 3.20pm the same day.

Dean was recommended in the Legal 500 2023 and is described as ‘an exceptional professional who always provides a fast and quality level of support.’
