Biography And Reviews
Annalise is a Trainee Apprentice Solicitor, she is currently sat within our Private Wealth and Succession department. She is based at the firm’s Halifax office.
Previously, Annalise was in the Family department. Prior to that she was also in the Court of Protection department, where she was able to experience seats in both the Property & Finance and Health & Welfare teams.
After graduating from the University of York in August 2024, she then joined Ramsdens in September 2024. As a Trainee Apprentice, Annalise is studying for her SQE with BPP University, alongside undertaking her training contract, with a view to qualifying in 2027.
During her time at university, Annalise volunteered as a welfare caller for York Neighbours.This entailed providing a friendly acquaintance for isolated individuals to speak on a weekly basis. Outside of her work and studies, she continues to engage with the community through attending various networking and charity events. Annalise feels passionate about developing her networking and has recently become a member of the Halifax Law Society.
Already, Annalise has had the opportunity to complete challenging drafting exercises, lead client communication, and independently manage clients’ files. She endeavours to carry the communication, time-management, and client care skills that she has developed in her seat in the Family Law department.
One of Annalise’s career highlights so far is getting to meet all of her lovely clients in person and provide a sense of hope in times of crisis.
As an active individual, who enjoys all forms of exercise from walking to attending yoga classes, to running long distances and participating in competitions with her local gym. Annalise is also a proud member of our Ramsdens Ramblers walking group.

What is one legal myth that you’d love to dispel?
“There is no legal recognition of common-law marriage in England and Wales, regardless of how long a couple has lived together, how many assets they share or whether they have any children.”
What made you want to work in your role/law?
“The rewarding nature of being able to help and support clients in their most vulnerable stages of life and actually make a positive difference.”
