Christmas is an important time of
the year to help others and across our business our staff will be helping and
supporting local, regional and national charities through our #Ramsdens12Days of charity at Christmas
campaign that will run from the 1st December to the 12th.
On day one
our Holmfirth office sponsored the Holmfirth Christmas Lights Celebration,
played host to one of Santa’s hidden elves in the Elf Trail and held a food
collection for the Holme Valley Foodbank.
On day two
our team over in Dewsbury collected items for Fusion Housing Food Bank’s
festive Christmas hampers.
On day
three volunteers from our York office, volunteered at St Leonards Hospice,
working in the donation and fundraising centres.
On day four
our team in Slaithwaite were busy delivering meals on wheels and also took part
in the Welcome Centre Huddersfield 50p Challenge.
On day five
our Mirfield office collected festive treats and gifts for Northorpe Hall Child
and Family Trust.
On day six
our Private Client team supported the Alzheimer’s Society by expressing
themsELFs in the Elf Day challenge – helping to raise much needed awareness of
the brilliant charity.
On day
seven our team in Halifax helped to fill shoe boxes for the Halifax Rotary
Club’s ‘shoe box appeal’ and filled 67 boxes to send out to local families in
need, beating last years record breaking total!
On day
eight our Trainees helped to raise money for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund
by holding an officewide Christmas themed quiz and also supported their annual
Christmas party!
On day nine
our York team sponsored the IDASfor100 York Refuge for Children’s festive trip
to the York Maze.
On day ten our volunteers collected items desperately needed by women suffering domestic
violence / homelessness at Christmas, supporting the Womens Centre in Halifax
and Pennine Domestic Violence Group in Huddersfield.
On day
eleven our Brighouse, Milnsbridge, Oakley and Ramsden Street teams collected
food and Christmas treats for the Welcome Centre, Huddersfield’s Reverse Advent
Calendar campaign.
On day
twelve our wonderful volunteers used their charity days helping at the Memory
Lane Café’s Christmas Party, Rowley Lane Schools Christmas Fayre & the
Skill Shop’s Christmas Show.
We have had
a fantastic #Ramsdens12Days of charity at Christmas,
doing good for charity and it doesn’t stop there… our staff across all our
offices will be taking part in the Save the Children UK Christmas Jumper Day on
Friday the 13th!
