Natalie Marrison, Partner and Head of the Abuse Law department at Ramsdens, has
featured in Gym Owner Monthly joining the conversation on improving the
way we speak, act and support each other against sexual harassment in fitness.
In the
article Ben Hackney-Williams revealed that 70% of women said that
they’d had an interaction in the gym that made them feel
uncomfortable, forcing them to change how and where they work
out.
Talking
to Ben on how the industry can start making improvements, Natalie
commented that, “There are
many benefits to having a diverse workforce. It’s particularly important within
the gym environment, as it is a place where members of the public should feel
represented and comfortable. Diversity should therefore be encouraged be
actively striving to diversify management teams to ensure decisions are made
which represent all corners of society.”
