The Government has today published its’ response to the consultation on sexual harassment in the workplace. Its’ main points are to introduce:

  • A duty on employers to prevent sexual harassment
  • Explicit protection from 3rd party harassment – for example by a client or member of the public whilst at work
  • Extended protection to volunteers and interns

The response also states the Government will look closely at extending time limits for bringing sexual harassment cases from 3 to 6 months.
