At Ramsdens, we firmly believe our people are our greatest asset. We are passionate about their development, and are committed to helping them realise their full potential. We recognise that staff in different capacities will have different professional and personal goals, and it is the intention of the firm to identify those goals for the benefit of the employee and of the firm.

The firm operates an “Open Door” policy and encourages frequent routine communication between all staff and their immediate managers, during which it ought to be possible for dialogue to take place as to standards, performance and goals. However, it is recognised that more formal processes bring benefits for employees and employers alike. Annual appraisals work alongside regular one-to-one meetings, allowing opportunities to discuss wellbeing and receive feedback on performance.

Development will take multiple guises, from initial induction, to on-the-job and in-house training, as well as external courses. For those looking to gain a professional qualification, there is the opportunity to apply for study sponsorship. We see an investment in your development as an investment in the future of the firm. We also cover the cost of your professional membership fees (role based) to ensure you are able to stay at the forefront of your chosen career.
