History, heritage, awards
Ramsdens is an established firm of Solicitors, which was originally founded in the 1870s. Ramsdens is proud of its heritage and the practice now boasts the most up-to-date technology and business practices. The firm has undergone many developments over the years including its expansion into Holmfirth, Slaithwaite and Elland, as well as opening its new commercial and corporate office in Edgerton and Halifax.
In 1999 the firm achieved its Legal Aid Franchise in the categories of Matrimonial and Personal Injury. The firm converted to Ramsdens Solicitors LLP on 1 May 2006 and in August 2007 was awarded the Lexcel Practice Management Quality Standard.
The practice was the first in the country to be awarded the LawGroup Conveyancing Standard, being recognition by an independent body of the high standards of service offered by the Residential Property Department.
Within the firm we have several specialist departments, each with its own group of partners, solicitors and fee earners, its own identity and its own head of department. This structure enables it to offer clients genuine expertise in all the main areas of legal work.
“Excellence in the way it deals with its clients and the way it conducts its business is the cornerstone upon which Ramsdens has prospered in the past. It is the Partners wish that this insistence upon achieving excellence will ensure its continued success in the future.”
